PECS is a proprietary evidence classification system developed by PhysioSense. It maps to but is not identical to the GRADE system. PECS badges should not be confused with official GRADE assessments.
Certainty of the effect estimate (GRADE CoE: High → Very Low)
Strength and direction of recommendation (GRADE: Strong FOR → AGAINST)
Whether data has been independently verified against source PDFs
VERIFIED — 2+ sources independently verified against the source PDF
EXTRACTED — 1 source, extracted but not cross-verified
FLAGGED — incomplete data or verification pending
