Help & FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about the PhysioSense platform.

Getting Started

What is PhysioSense?
PhysioSense is an educational evidence information system for musculoskeletal diagnoses. We extract clinical evidence from systematic reviews, guidelines (NICE, ACP, WHO), and meta-analyses — structured by role, phase, and patient context. We are not a clinical decision support system.
Does PhysioSense provide medical advice?
No. PhysioSense is an educational reference tool — similar to UpToDate or PEDro. We display evidence extracted from published research. The treating clinician always makes the final clinical decision. Every page includes this disclaimer.
How do I get started with PhysioSense?
Register for an account, select your role (patient, physiotherapist, physician, etc.) and diagnosis. Your dashboard will display relevant evidence modules filtered for your role and treatment phase.

Evidence System

How is evidence selected and organized?
We use the PECS (PhysioSense Evidence Classification System) — a three-dimensional badge: Certainty of Evidence (Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze), Clinical Role (Core/Adjuvant/Emerging/Caution), and Verification Status. Every data point is linked to a PMID, page number, and quoted text from the source PDF.
What do PECS badges mean?
PECS badges combine three dimensions: Certainty (how strong the evidence is — from Platinum for guidelines with 5+ sources to Bronze for a single source), Role (Core = first-line, Adjuvant = complementary, Emerging = research-level, Caution = evidence against), and Verification (Verified = 2+ sources, Extracted = 1 source, Flagged = incomplete).
Can extracted data be wrong?
Yes. That is why every data point includes a link to the source PMID, page number, and quoted text. If something does not match — it is a bug you can report. Never trust the platform — verify against the sources.

Modules

Which modules are available?
PhysioSense includes 9 modules: FITT VIP (exercise protocols), HomeSense (home exercises), PharmacoSense (pharmacology — DRIPT profiles), SupplementSense (supplements), PreventionSense (prevention), HorizonSense (emerging therapies), ConceptSense (therapeutic concepts), DiagnosticSense (diagnostic tests), and OutcomeSense (outcome tracking).
What happens when my outcome score changes?
The system re-filters — not re-interprets — evidence based on your reported outcomes. The same evidence stays, but which part is relevant to your current status changes. For example, transitioning from acute to subacute phase may activate HomeSense and PreventionSense modules.
Why are some modules locked?
Module availability depends on your subscription plan. The free plan includes HomeSense. The Student plan adds FITT VIP. Professional and higher plans unlock all modules. Locked modules show a blurred preview with an upgrade option.

Subscriptions & Account

What plans are available?
We offer four tiers: Free (HomeSense), Student (FITT VIP + HomeSense), Professional (all modules + PDF export), and Institution (team access + administration). Visit the pricing page for current details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → Subscription and click "Cancel subscription". You retain access until the end of your current billing period. You can resubscribe at any time.

Privacy & Security

Is my data safe?
Yes. We use Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) — each user can only access their own data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We comply with GDPR and the Montenegrin Data Protection Law. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use PhysioSense for my patients?
Yes, with the Professional or higher plan. PhysioSense is an educational reference tool — you can use the information to inform your clinical decisions. The platform does not store patient data or replace clinical judgment.
